Uwe Uhlendorff is a professor of social pedagogy with a focus on the subject didactics of social pedagogy. His teaching and research focus on the one hand on the challenges of professional qualification for the fields of work in social pedagogy and on the other hand on learning and educational processes in social pedagogical contexts: Uwe Uhlendorff deals with didactical and content-related aspects of the training of teachers and educators. He is currently researching and developing innovative teaching-learning arrangements in schools and universities that address social issues such as inclusion and heterogeneity as didactic challenges. His second research focus is on educational processes of adolescents and parents in socio-educational institutions. The focus is on the question of how learning and educational processes can be promoted through socio-educational interactions.

He received his doctorate in pedagogy from Georg August University in 1996.
